Page 682, 683, was a mason by trade. He lived on Samuel Libby farm, at “the North,” where Phineas I. Libby now Lives. He was a soldier in the Revolution, enlisting as a private in Captain Hart Williams’ company in 1775. The following year he served as sergeant under Captain Williams, and also in Col. Wigglesworth’s regiment.25
