Notes for Anna Elizabeth JEREMIAH
The following was written by Della May (Barr) Evans:
Aunt Lizzie - There were lots of family stories about Aunt Lizzie and Uncle Jim Stagner. When they moved to this Snake River country with the rest of the Jeremiah Clan they lived in what we now call the upper end of the Darrah Canyon, and there is still a locust tree at that spot (1990).
They had no children so their place was a favorite place for the Jeremiah grandchildren to stay.

Aunt Lizzie was driving her team and buggy over the ridge on her way to Canyon when the hitch broke, the team ran away and caused injuries from which she died.
Uncle Jim belonged to a troop of Confederate irregulars known as Quantrill's Raiders, an infamous group that you study in Civil War History.
You'll not find a family group sheet as they had no children.31
