The following is a biography of William James Jeremiah and Margaret Coe? as written by Della May (Barr) Evans:
With these two, ends our information. We can't be sure of Margaret's last name because the writing on the document is not plain.
We have long been curious as to the nationality of the name Jeremiah. In our search we have many Jeremiahs living in Wales in the 1700s.
We know that both Wiliam James and Margaret were born in Pennsylvania, probably around 1800. We find that they lived in eastern Illinois. He was alive in 1830, but by 1840 Margaret was a widow. We next find Margaret and her children, William, Mary, James and Sarah in Missouri's Bates County in 1850. We have found where Mary married Henry B. Caldwell in 1854, and we know William Thomas married Susan Caldell. That's about all we have learned.31
