The following was written by Della Mae (Barr) Evans:
Martin Gooch - Deborah Debrooch. Very little is known about these ancestors, but we expect that more information is just waiting for us to discover it. Both were born in Tennessee around 1806. Their children, Tabitha, Nancy and William were born in Tennessee and the children Susanna and Elizabeth were born in Missouri. Susanna was born in 1838 so evidently they were into Missouri very early. We find them living in Pettis County, Missouri in 1850.
In all our reading we find many prominent Gooches. One was a Governor in Virginia in the late 1600s so someday we will find more information for you.31
