25 Page 41, Among the early settlers of Windham was the man bearing the above name. He was a native of Tiverton, R.I. and came here about the year 1738-9, and settled on home lot No. 29. This lot had been drawn to Jospeh Gallison of Marblehead, one of the original granters. He also appears to have owned lots 30 and 31 and had a garrison house on lot 30 in 1751. These lots were drawn to Nathan Bowen and James Skinner, both grantees of the township. Mr. FARROW was married and had a family previous to his settlement here. His wife's name was Persis.
