Page 8, 9 (page 341 of Book), When he was 21 he went to Massachusetts. He was some years head clerk of the Neponset House. After his third marriage he settled on a farm in New Gloucester, Maine., but his wife died soon after, and he returned to Massachusetts. He served from Sept. 1864, until the close of the war, in Company B, 64th New York Regiment. 38
