Durgan Homestead, across from Molly's Pond on Rt 2 in Cabot, VT. Abraham lived here ca 1790 (land records show purchase of this pieces of land between 1820 & 1830). Earlier purchases were for property north east of the homestead but still in town of Cabot. His son Darius lived/born here ca 1805 (may have been born on land northeast of property across from Molly's Pond, but still in town of Cabot, willed home-stead to son Alvin D. after death of wife Prudence Page (d 1896). Alvin was born here and most likely continued to live at the farm and help his mother run it till her death); Carl A, also born here, received the farm after death of his father, Alvin D.. Carl A. sold it out of the family a few years late. House still standing, with some changes, in 2001. Ted Durgan has a note that he removed to Cabot, VT with Nathan Perkins and his wife Martha Heath about 1790, their wifes were sisters.
Small cabins located just east of homestead were rented out also rented boats on Molly's Pond These rentals were by a later generation that lived at the homestead.

Burial: Limerick, York Cty, ME (S, S & P). Found no record in book of York County ME Cemetary Inscriptions. Book does list unmarked graves and stones to faded to read. Maybe one of these are his. His mother, Hannah Perkins Durgan, died in Limerick, ME at the home of one of her sons.
People of Peacham, VT - give him a niece Mary Elizabeth, d/o Darnel Durgan of Cabot VT. This appears to be the daughter of his son Darius (Darnel in some records) Mary Eliza. Also has Mary -m- Allen N Stewart. In some records his first name is Alvin Abrahm possibly had a daughter Mary who marries George Jennes. There is a VT VR MC for Cabot, VT. She would be of the right age to be a daughter of Abraham.
