Revolutionary pensioner in New Hampton in 1840, aged 89; Abstract: S12814, NH Line, appl 10 October 1832 Strafford County NH aged 82 a res of New Hampton NH, sol enl at Lee NH & later enl at Pittsfield NH, sol was b at Durham in Strafford County NH lived there when he 1st enlisted then moved to Pittsfield in Merrimack County NH for 30 yrs then about 1816 moved to New Hampton.
Richard Durgin of Seattle, Washington believes he descends from this Richard. Line of descent Richard, George (no proof he is son of Richard), Benjamin, Arthur, Fred, Richard b. about 1936 There is a Richard in Pittsfield, NH 1800 census with a son George of the right age. Two other Durgin men living in Pittsfield in 1820, did not have a son George's age. Richard has a daughter Tracy Durgin Davis and a sister Marian Durgin Hayes, all living in WA Richard, Tracy & Marion attended the Durgin/Durgan Gathering, family reunion in Concord, NH is August 2002.
