Born in Elwood, IN to Thomas George and Merle Eileen (Tumilty) Williamson, both predeceased Edgar. Survived by his "bride", Margaret E. Rideout Williamson; son, Thomas Eugene of CT; daughter, Lois Lee of Rancho Cordova; and sister, Carolyn Marker of GA. Also survived by 3 granddaughters, 7 great-grandsons and 1 great-granddaughter, all adored by "Grumpa". Ed served 30 years with the US Navy in several branches, ships, blimps, airplanes and construction battalions. He served during WWII through Vietnam. After retirement, Edgar worked for Montgomery Wards and Goodyear in tire sales and service. He was then accepted in the California State Park service. He was assigned at Plumas/Eureka, Chico's Bidwell Mansion, Lake Oroville and finally at Folsom Lake on boat patrol. Later he worked with ranger patrol dog, Ralph, until Ralph's death in 1977. Ed retired from the park Service in 1983. He was very active in Folsom Host Lions Club and the Masonic Order until his illness. Memorial services will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church at 803 Figueroa St., Folsom at 11am Sat. Jan. 7, 2006. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you contribute to Shriner's Children's Hospital or the charity of your choice.

Retired U.S. Navy as an Equipment operator Chief (EOC) entered USN from Ohio 18 Aug 1937 Retired the 1st time Aug 1957. Was recalled to service in 1964 and remained until 1968 he complete 30yr and was placed on permanent retired list.

1995 was diagnosis esophageal Carcinoma which progresses to his Lyrnix which was removed. and was a neck breather
