Thomas was probably born in Hingham, Mass, prior to the family move to Eastham. He was a representative to the General Court in Boston from 1693-95. Thomas died in 1720 at the age of 78; in his will, he left the family homestead to his youngest son, Jesse. For the time, Thomas was considered to have been in possession of quite a large fortune.640
