Page 477, He was not found in the 1800 USC of Maine, but was probably the “Captain Samuel Waiscoat” who, with his brother “Captain Pelatiah Waiscoat” was among those on the “List of Letters Remaining in the Post Office at Castine, April 22, 1802. His title “Captain” suggests he also may have gone to sea.88
