Misc. Notes
Joseph was granted land by the ancient proprietors of Falmouth, Maine in 1680. He was keeper of a lodging house on the corner of court and freemont streets. Here was where General George Washington was staying and met Gov. Hancock who decided to waive the state Doctrine of Offical Etiquette.
Joseph of Cape Ann escaped from the Old Mill Prison where he was committed by the British on 4 June 1678.
