Notes for Clarissa E. (Clara) WESCOTT
She was living in Minneapolis in 1911. Birth/Death from death certificate.
Virgil Thomas was ill and she could not/would not care for him. She married Charlie Bemis (referred to as a road commissioner in Minneapolis who was no good)
When she died, her brother Wells brought her body to Lakeville and had her buried at Corinthian.
This has not been proved, but seems likely that she is buried in the area of the James Wescott.
She asked for her inheritance when she went with Bemis. That is why she received small sum when father died. Died of arteriosclerosis and senility. She was living in Minneapolis, Minnesota at the time.
Clara lived in Minneapolis at the time of her death. She was bed ridden for several years until she died. She had been burned in an oil stove fire. Cause of death arteriosclerosis, contributing factor - senility. Clara’s grave is unmarked but next to the lots for Mary Ann and Arvid Youngkrantz
13Virgil and Clara were married on her parents home, on the farm, by Rev. Chase, pastor of the Methodist church in Lakeville. (Farmington?) They applied for their license in Dakota Co.
13She was married to Charles BEMIS about 1896 in Minneapolis, MN?
