Other sources say Ardee was born on 31 July 1884. His Dakota County birth record says 10 August 1883 and has name was spelled Ardee. Other sources said Arthur or Ardel or Ardie, but he went by Ardee. Ardee is buried with Alva and their father. The gravestone only had Virgil’s name and dates until 1994 when Ardee’s and Alva’s names were added.13
